Princess Catherine Amalia of the Netherlands has moved back to the royal palace amid fears of being targeted by criminals.
Princess Amalia, 18, enrolled at the University of Amsterdam last month and moved into a flat from the palace.
According to a statement released by the King and Queen, they have been called back to The Hague for the safety of the princess.
Last month, Dutch media reported that security for the princess had been increased due to the risk of being attacked or kidnapped by criminal gangs.
Prime Minister Mark Root said he could not elaborate on the threats to the princess.
Princess Amalia is a politics and economics student at the University of Amsterdam and was living in a flat with other students but has now returned to the palace.
