About Kedarkantha Trek – A Fabulous Trek

One of the most well-known winter treks is the Kedarkantha Trek, which is situated in the Western Garhwal area of the state of Uttarakhand. This is also one of the few treks that allows a less experienced hiker to gain experience on a winter walk in less than a week. The tour begins in Dehradun, from where you take a car to Sankri, a small yet endearing village. The town is surrounded by the Govind Wildlife Sanctuary, a place where several plant and animal species may be found. Discover Saud Village as you hike toward Juda Ka Talab, the centrepiece of the Kedarkantha trekking tour, and observe the traditional way of life devoid of contemporary conveniences. A stunning pond called Juda Ka Talab is encircled by verdant meadows and woods of maple, oak, and Morinda spruce trees.

You will have enough time to unwind, spend time with loved ones, and get ready for the journey ahead. The following section of the Kedarkantha trekking route brings you to the summit’s base, which is a lush meadow. It is a joy for the senses to hike through oak and maple trees while inhaling the fragrance of diverse flower types. The meadow proves to be a fantastic place to pitch up camp because you can take in the breathtaking landscape. Spend the night in your camp, and if you’re a morning person, you could even get to see a spectacular sunrise.

After brunch, proceed to the Kedarkantha Peak, where a Trishul is fixed atop a mound of rocks. Make the most of your journey to Kedarkantha by standing at the summit and taking in the expansive views of the valleys below or the sky above. Spend some time atop the mountain before beginning the descent to the campsite. Enjoy your lunch when you get here, and then start walking downhill to the Sankri settlement. The stroll itself will be quite an experience because you’ll pass a lot of little ponds and streams along the way. Once in Sankri, go to Dehradun by car.
